2004 Chateau du Pintey Bordeaux Red

An exceptionally well-balanced blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. This wine presents an earthy, leathery nose followed by flavors of dark fruit, chocolate and tar.

2006 Chateau Ducasse White
Origin: France
92 Points -Habersham Tasting Panel
...a very good value. It is made mostly of semillon grapes from vines more than 50 years old as well as some sauvignon and a bit of a lesser-known varietal called muscadelle. I like the elegance and the soft mouth feel of the wine as much as I do the mineral notes on the nose and the palate, and the fresh pear and peach character.

Habersham's Mixed Case Price: $12.59

2005 Chateau Pesquie Cotes du Ventoux Cuvee Terrasses
Origin: France

92 Points -Robert Parker
"Château Pesquie is the finest estate in the Côtes du Ventoux, a gorgeous area east of Avignon. The best bargain is their blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah, the 2005 Les Terraces. These old vines have produced a deep ruby/purple-hued wine offering notes of licorice, black olives, kirsch liqueur, spice, and pepper. Full-bodied with loads of fruit as well as a generous, savory mouthfeel, it is best drunk over the next several years. "-Robert Parker

Origin: France

90 Points -Robert Parker
"This tank-fermented blend of 90% Syrah (40-year old vines) and 10% Grenache (60-year old vines) exhibits gorgeous floral, blackberry, licorice, lavender, and roasted Provençal herb-like notes. In the mouth, it reveals flavors of sweet cherry and blackberry fruit in a silky, medium-bodied, pure, long style. This is an amazing bargain! "-Robert Parker

2006 Domaine de la Chanteleuserie Bourgueil
Origin: France
90 Points -Habersham Tasting Panel
First you will notice the dense, generous nose but this wine is all about balance of flavors -- fluid, cool, blueberries and bitter chocolate -- and a regal, refined structure of chalky tannin. It's a mouth filler.
"...the downright ridiculous value they offer should win many new converts..." -Robert Parker

2004 Domaine Leon Barral Faugeres

92 Points -Habersham Tasting Panel
This is a blend of Carignan and Grenache vinified with 80% of the stems. The nose is so expressive, you really snap to and pay attention. Opulent and silky on the palate, the stems must have been perfectly ripe because there is nothing harsh here at all. "This may be the best wine of the trip; it could not be any better." -Dixon Brooke

Laurent Perrier Brut Ultra NV
Origin: France

92 Points -Wine Enthusiast
"This is a really good rendition of this extra-tart, austere style of Champagne. Citrus and steel are the prime components—don’t look for tropical fruits, toast or buttered nuts in this baby. This is a terroir-driven wine; it tastes like the chalk it’s grown in. Can you say oysters and caviar?" -Wine Enthusiast

Light-bodied dry red wine; medium dark translucent garnet red. Dark fruit - cherry - aromas with a bit of aromatic brown spice. Aromas of fresh and brandied fruit, with tasty dark fruit flavors. A slight bitter note in the finish is not at all unpleasant.

“This wine explodes into the glass with a lovely display of fully ripe, creamy fruit flavors. There is a physiological ripeness to the fruit that is a rare pleasure in a brut Champagne, and the layers of citrus, tangerine and blossoms unfold elegantly to create a deep—and deeply satisfying—set of textural flavors." -Wine Enthusiast
