1927 Alvear Pedro Ximenez Solera (Spain)
96 POINTS!!!  "The impressive 1927 Pedro Ximenez Solera, from a Solera begun nearly 80 years ago, boasts a dark amber color as well as an extraordinary nose of creme brulee, liquified nuts, marmalade and maple syrup. Huge and viscous, yet neither cloyingly sweet nor heavy, it is a profound effort priced unbelievably low. It is meant to be drunk alone at the end of a meal." -Robert Parker
Habersham's Low Price! (375mL): $17.99

Do you have a wine connoisseur in the family?  This would be perfect as a holiday gift!  Don't wait till the last minute; the holidays are right around the corner!
2001 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (USA)
95 POINTS  "The finest Private Reserve since the 1991, 1990, and 1987, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve is extraordinary. There are 8,000 cases of this blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, and small dollops of Merlot as well as Petit Verdot. A perfume of smoke, camphor, creme de cassis, cedar, and fruitcake is accompanied by a gentle giant of a wine. Powerful and impeccably balanced, with outstanding concentration, well-integrated wood, acidity, and tannin, and a long, nearly 60-second finish, this saturated ruby/purple-hued effort is a prodigious example of Cabernet Sauvignon. Anticipated maturity: now-2020+." -Robert Parker
Robert Parker's Estimated Cost: $120.00
Habersham's Low Price! (750mL): $79.99 (only available at our Abercorn location)
2000 Fonseca Vintage Port (Portugal)
97-99 POINTS!!!  "I was fortunate to try this stunning wine a number of times in Vancouver and once again in London (side by side with Taylor). Adrian Bridge, Managing Director of Fonseca mentioned that the pricing would only increase a small percent above the 1997. Given the low yields and quality here, I would say that is quite an accomplishment.  Opaque purplish inky color with pungent violet, spicy and grapey notes. For my palate, even bigger yet more elegant than the Taylor which is saying a mouthful.  Depicting youthful, expressive fruit with a focused balance of power and grace. Fonseca will take many decades to mature and will drink well, late into this century given its formidable and ripe tannic structure. A monumental effort by David Guimaraens that may later draw comparisons to the remarkable 1948 and 1966 VPs (two of my favorites) from this Shipper." -Wine Lovers Page

2000 Chateau Rochemorin Pessac-Leognan Rouge (France)
95 POINTS  "This gorgeous Pessac shows off vivid color and a seductive bouquet of Asian spice, leather and cigar box; the fruit is a melange of currant, black cherry and hints blackberry; the balance is a nearly flawless combination of elegance and power." -Beverage Dynamics
Habersham's Low Price! (750mL): $24.99
Graham's Vintage 2000 Port (Portugal)
98 POINTS   "Smells like freshly picked orchids, with loads of ripe, clean fruit. Full-bodied, medium sweet and very powerful and racy. It lasts for minutes on your palate. Yet there's a balance and class to this young Vintage Port. This is the greatest glass of Graham I have ever tasted, young or old. Best after 2014." -Wine Spectator

1996 Chateau Cos-d'Estournel St. Estephe Bordeaux (France)
95 POINTS/Collectible!   "A classy and impressive young Bordeaux from an appellation that stepped up in '96. Dark-colored, with plenty of currant and spice aromas, the wine is full-bodied, with very velvety tannins and allspice, berry and currant flavors. Long, long finish. One of the wines of the vintage, it's a beauty. Best after 2005." -Wine Spectator
